Congratulations to Dan and Ruthie Bowles! This couple were married on December 10, 2011 at The Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga.

Both are active duty military and actually met while in Afghanistan.

This was an intimate wedding with friends and family. Reverend Shulte http://www.savannahgaweddings.com/ was there to officiant the ceremony and they danced the night away to the DJing talents of Donnie Collins. The event was beautifully planned by their friend Jessica who is a wedding planner based in Colorado.

A small intemate gathering met Lindsey and Eric under the big oak tree at the Savannah Yacht Club on Wilmington Island. The couple was then join by more friends to celebrate their union! The evening was accompanied great tunes by The Vistas Band.

I just loved this couple! You can just tell when two people were meant for each other. Andy knew all the right things to get Jamie to smile and laugh. They picked such a beautiful venue, The Owens Thomas House , for the ceremony. The weather was perfect for a garden wedding decorated with flowers from John Davis. Jamie got ready at The Presidents Quarters and this is also were the couple held the Ketubah signing ceremony, where the two families took part in the union of Jamie and Andy. The Olde Pink House was the perfect location for the reception. There they found wonderful food and service!
I wish all the best to this amazing couple! I hope that Andy gets his VW Bus someday!

This beautiful dog holds a big place in this family's heart (along with her sister who snuck in a few photographs for moral support). Happy Halloween! I was so excited to photograph Jefferson today. He is a year old light orange tabby cat. What a personality! He was very into the camera and of course the feather toy. (Key toy for cat photography) I brought my flash set up to get better lighting in Susannah's historic home. It think for most pet sessions I prefer the pet's own environment. Jefferson just cracked me up! I encourage everyone to have your cat photographed. You will be so glad you did!

Stephanie and Scott came to me a bit frantic to find a photographer because Scott was to be shipped out over seas earlier than expected. I was very happy that I was available to shoot their wedding. It was a great day. The ceremony was held at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Then we trollied over to The Mackey House where I was able to capture some great moments out in the pasture and by the lake. Stephanie was so organized I was very impressed with how smoothly everything went. Great Job girl!

Katie and Joe were married on Hunter Army Air Field at the Chapel. Katie was a stunning bride! We worried a bit about rain but not on Katie's day. It rained, but not at the Planter's Inn and the Pink House were they were getting ready and where we were taking pictures. Joe being a creative mind had a great idea to shoot the wedding party on the helicopters at the base. He being a pilot was able to get permission. I was sooo excited! We all braved the hot hot hot walk to the pad. But it was worth it! The reception was held at Vic's on the River where they had a beautiful and heart felt reception.

Sassy our cover dog is 16 years old!

I am very excited to have been able to volunteer my time for this years NIE Pet Calender. We had a lot of really cute pets this year. I hope the owners and the pets enjoyed there sessions as much as I did.

If you would like to purchase a calender please contact The Savannah Morning New NIE Coordinator. The are $10 and the proceed go to the News Papers in Education Fund. This will provide newpapers to classrooms through out Savannah and sourounding communities. The images posted on the blog are the calender finals! There are more wonderful images from these sessions. Bo and Ying were married at the Mansion on Forsyth on August 1. I was a bit rainy that day but this did not dampen the spirits of this happy couple. I had the pleasure of photographing them for their engagement session and had a blast with them. Not to be unexpected the wedding was just as fun! Thank you to your both for being so great!

Beach Babies! : Tybee Island

I had a great session a couple of weeks ago with Kennedy and AJ. We braved the crazy thunderstorm that chased us down the beach! But it was worth it! The light is so cool when it is about to storm. The kids we not even scared of the lighting. I just had to share a couple of the them from session 1. We went back to the beach when the sun was out to get more.

Megan and Josh: Savannah Wedding

Megan and Josh were married at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. What a gorgeous venue! A to Zinnias provided the amazing boutique. Megan was so graceful on I think was one of the hottest day of the year! I am glad fall is getting nearer! Megan and her attendants got ready at the Presidents Quarters. I love the rooms they make for great backdrops. Think about that brides! The reception was at the First City Club which was convenient for portraits in Johnson square. I really enjoyed working with Megan and Josh and their families.

Bonkers and Mayfield

I had a wonderful shoot the other day with a great family. The focus of the shoot was on the chocolate lab Bonkers. Kay contacting me wanting to have a session with her husband and their 8 year old chocolate lab that had just been diagnosed with bladder cancer. I was thrilled to come play with Bonkers and get some photographic memories for them. Bonkers had great energy and a wonderful playful nature. The Black lab in the pictures is Mayfield who lives down the street and come daily to play with Bonkers, Kay, and David. She has a second family so I though she should be in some pictures as well.
I prey for Bonkers recovery and fight.

For the second year I have had the pleasure of photographing this particular group of beautiful ladies from Atlanta GA. They come every year to visit with each other and catch up . I had so much fun we each of the ladies and could a shot them all day! I am looking forward to next year! i will have to dream up some new ideas for their shoot.

Jennifer and Steve: Savannah Wedding

This was such a beautiful and emotional celebration. Jennifer and Steve were just beaming the entire day. Even though it was over 100 degrees!
Family and Friends came to show the love and support for this couple.
The Westin was a beautiful location overlooking the Savannah River and River Street. Unexpectedly there was a Latin Festival going on at the time of the ceremony which added a fun and lively element to the heartfelt ceremony.
I just fell in love with this couple. Jennifer is the kind of person you just want to hug for being so sweet and caring.
I could say so much about them and how much I was honored to capture their wedding day.

Tim and Connie : Beach Wedding

Tim and Connie chose to have a beach wedding on a beautiful "warm" day on Tybee Island. Little did they know that Miley Sirus was going to be filming a movie right were there wanted to have the wedding! They were able to keep there location despite all the movie trailers. It will be certainly memorable.
With their wonderful children they were married under the beautiful blue skies.
We returned to the beach to try to catch the sunset and have a toast of fine bourbon in the evening air.

I found my old camera on a shelf in my bed room collecting dust and felt like I needed to take it's picture. This the camera I use all through college believe it or not. I did not even have an auto focus lens. All manual baby! I did aquired a Hasselbald at one point but mostly I used this. I can't believe film is become obsolete! So sad.

Hello! This is Nicole Rule. I have had the priveledge of working with Angela since March -- I moved here from Oklahoma with my husband who is attending SCAD. As Angie mentioned in the last post I do a lot of editing and re-touching for her as well as shooting. Here is my first wedding as Angela's associate photographer! Mary Ann and Tyler met on New Year's Eve and instantly fell in love. They had a beautiful beach wedding on Tybee Island. I was very excited to get to spend some time with them on the beach after the ceremony for pictures. Kelly and Zane: Engagment Session

Kelly contacted me just last week. She really wanted some engagement pictures of her and Zane before they were about to be apart for a year! They next time they will be together is for the wedding! I was so glad Nicole and I were able to fit them in. FYI Nicole is my associate photographer and digital editor. She also does everything else! I was excited when she said she like the farm pictures I had done of another couple. This couple was perfect for this environment! I think Kelly look like a country singer. The light was amazing and I felt so comfortable with them. I tryed a few new things. The watermelon just seemed fitting for a hot summer day in July. I really try to get the couple doing things that are comfortable to them. That way I can get real moments. I have so many more great shots but I do have to go home at some point.

Jacy and Kalin: Elopement

Jacy and Kalin wanted a stress free wedding. Savannah was the perfect place to get married and have their honey moon. After a long drive from Mississippi they stay a restful night at the Gastonian Inn. Which by the way is amazing! And not to mention smells like breakfast all the time! The following day the met in the garden and had their ceremony with Reverand Sholtie. With verse from the velveteen rabbit the said their vows under the Savannah sun. We roamed through Forsyth Park finding beautiful nooks all over. I think everytime I shoot at the park I find something new.
I enjoyed working with Jacy and Kalin. They southern charm made making beautiful portraits easy.

Phil: Actors Head Shot

Amanda Joe came down from Ohio to have their beautiful Savannah Wedding. They had there ceremony at the the wonderful Forsyth Park Inn and the reception was held at 700 Drayton. Amanda was a precious bride and Joe a gentlemen to say the least. We wandered through the park and around the surrounding homes to create a Savannah Wedding portrait. I enjoyed this couple very much and was thrilled to be a part of their day. I will post more!!!

I am trying catch up with posting from my weddings. This couple had a rainy wedding day! But Emily and Josh didn't even seem to mind at all. I asked him what they were going to do if it rained he said they would play it by ear. What was important to them is to get married and celebrate with friends and family. Some of which had traveled from China to be there. Emily was stunning and barely got wet. Here are just a few from the day.

I just love this shot! My favorite place to be is in a field, in nature. I had a great session with Stephanie and Scott. Stephanie called me in a panic needing a photographer for her wedding because they had to move the day up. Scott is to shipped out in November. I happily was available. She schedule her engagement session right away.
Scott is a local Savannah resident and was very informative about the area on our walk on the beach.
What a sunset we had. We all thought is was going to rain but it never did. Nicole ( new assisant) was great help the of camera flash. We got some really cool images.

The weather would not not stop this couple from getting their wedding portraits done in Savannah. Pei Ruu and Sam came all the way from Twain to have the wedding protrait in Savannahwhere they met while going to SCAD. I was so excited to work with them. The had their hair styled at JW Salon and then we ventured out around town. There so many great shots and I will share more when I get time. I hope I get to do more of these kind of portraits.

Yeah finally spring. I was sooooo tired of cold weather. I just had to post a couple of shots from the last couple of weeks.
The puppies are the cutest!!!! The owner brought the pillows. Which were perfect. They are like little bears!
The couple braves the cold weather for their engagement shoot. Casey and Michael thank you for hanging in there I think we got some great shots.
Then think little angel Casey is from our session today. She sure like to stick out the bottom lip! But oh sooo cute! I will post more of her later.
And lastly Snoopy. What an amazing dog. She won best of the opposite sex at West Minster!!! I will definitely post more of her.

I am starting to photograph a lot more models. We had a stylist and a great photo assistant! Posing them in weird body positions is a bit unfamiliar to me. I think I stick to natural poses. I think Kristen did great.
